BLCK combines investment principles and philanthropy to support grassroots organizations that address the crises of mass incarceration and State sanctioned violence against Black people, drug and gang violence, poverty in Black communities, and youth-led political organizing. The grassroots – community organizing models are built and are well suited for advancing racial justice.  These models emphasize empowering the disadvantaged, uniting different communities, challenging the prevailing patterns of power, and striving for systemic change.  BLCK was created to help bring national attention to social justice issues that must be addressed immediately, but more importantly we are here to develop a long-term financial funding mechanism for this modern civil rights movement for justice.
